With a heavy heart I lay to rest the part of me that died so long ago. It will be missed, but only by those who killed it. A fire roars inside the mind, fueled by a blend of ambition and shame. Why shame? That's a question best left unanswered. It's funny to think of the things people will give up when they don't realize how good they got it. But I have been away from home, and a computer, for along time. I got a bit of good news though. Basic training has given me alot of inspiration for my novel. Expect another 6 weeks of hearing nothing from me, and then an update. I might be able to do journals from my iPhone, but I don't see much of a point. What I plan on concentrating on for now is the world building. However, I can't let it get in the way of my training. After all, I am an American Soldier, which means I have to stay dedicated to my mission, which, for right now, is to finish my training.

How important to you is the evolution of a character to you? I like to evolve my characters and their personalities. I try to make back stories for them that effect their relationships and how they interact with others. To me, the character's psychology and his evolution are the best parts of character development.
